Rhyme Time: Week 2

This week I had mostly two year olds and one 6 month old. I asked the mother of the 6 month old to either move the child’s body parts or touch the parts we were singing about. We used egg shakers this week because they are great for hands of all sizes!

Let’s All Clap
Let’s all clap cause (child’s name) is here, (name) is here, (name) is here
Let’s all clap cause (child’s name) is here, (name) is here today
YAY!!

Hello Everybody
Hello everybody can you touch your nose, touch your nose, touch your nose
Hello everybody can you touch your nose, touch your nose today
(repeat with other body parts)

Quickly, quickly, very quickly goes the little mouse (scurry fingers up arm)
Quickly, quickly, very quickly all around the mouse

I Went to Visit a Farm One Day

IMG_6028

I went to visit a farm one day
I saw an (animal) along the way
And what do you think that (animal) did say

Zoom, Zoom, Zoom
Zoom, zoom, zoom (rub hands together)
We’re going to the moon
Zoom, zoom, zoom
We’re going to the moon
If you want to take a trip (hold arm up like an imaginary ladder, walk fingers up it)
Climb aboard my rocket ship
Zoom, zoom, zoom (rub hands together)
We’re going to the moon
In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 (hold up fingers)
BLAST OFF! (raise arms in the air)

Where, Oh, Where
Where oh where are baby’s fingers
Where oh where are baby’s toes
Where oh where is baby’s belly button
Round and round it goes
Where oh where are baby’s ears
Where oh where is baby’s nose
Where oh where is baby’s belly button
Round and round it goes

Can You Shake Along with Me? (Tune: London Bridge)
Can you shake along with me
Along with me, along with me
Can you shake along with me
It’s as easy as can be
Place the shaker on your knee
On your knee, on your knee
Place the shaker on your knee
It’s as easy as can be
(repeat with other body parts)

Going to Kentucky
I was going to Kentucky, going to the fair
To see the senorita with the flowers in her hair
Oh, shake it, shake it, shake it
Shake it if you can
Shake it like a milkshake,
And do the best you can
Oh, wobble to the bottom
Wobble to the top,
And turn around and turn around
Until you make a stop!

Shake Your Shakers (Tune: London Bridge)
Shake your shakers in the air
Shake it here, shake it there
Shake your shakers in the air
Shake your shakers
Shake it high and shake it low
Shake it yes, shake it no
Shake it high and shake it low
Shake your shakers
Shake it up and shake it down
Shake your shakers on the ground
Shake it up and shake it down
Shake your shakers
Shake it near and shake it far
Drive your shaker like a car
Shake it near and shake it far
Shake your shakers
Shake it fast and shake it slow
Shake it stop, shake it go
Shake it fast and shake it slow
Shake your shaker

Twinkle, Twinkle
